Curaçao is het eiland van het eeuwige briesje, dus zelfs wanneer temperaturen flink oplopen is het aangenaam toeven. Omdat Curaçao een benedenwinds eiland is ligt het buiten de orkaangordel.
Twijfelt u over een vakantie tijdens het regenseizoen, houd dan in gedachten dat het niet hele dagen regent. Het zijn vaak plaatselijke tropische regenbuien die meestal plaatsvinden in de ochtend en daarna weer overwaaien. Voordeel van deze periode is dat de temperatuur heerlijk aangenaam is, de natuur vol in bloei en mocht het een keer plenzen dan is er op het eiland voldoende indoor te beleven.
Komt u vakantie vieren tijdens het hoogseizoen, reken dan op gezellige drukte, zowel op de stranden als in de horecagelegenheden. Omwille hiervan raden wij u aan tijdig uw restaurants of beachclubs te reserveren. Gedurende het hele jaar zijn er ook genoeg evenementen die u kunt bijwonen, denk hierbij aan het beroemde North Sea Jazz Festival in augustus met meerdere bekende artiesten.

Public transportation in Curaçao is not quite what you may be accustomed to. For this reason, we highly recommend renting a car, so you can make the most of this wonderful island and enjoy the freedom to plan your holiday exactly as you wish.

The minimum stay is 5 nights. During the festive season, the minimum stay is 10 nights, depending on the dates selected.
If there is a gap in the booking calendar of fewer than 5 nights and you are interested in staying during this period, please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
For stays of 9 nights or more, an interim cleaning is mandatory. This not only helps us maintain the quality of our bed- and bath linens, but also contributes to your personal hygiene during your stay in the tropics.
During the interim cleaning, all beds are made with fresh linens, towels are replaced, and the bathrooms are cleaned.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. Check-out must take place before 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
Early check-in or late check-out is always available upon request and is only confirmed after approval. Additional charges may apply. Please contact us to enquire about the available options.
Bookings may be made by guests aged 18 years or older. If you or any member of your party is under the age of 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian must be provided. We must be notified of this in advance and also provide our explicit approval.
When making your booking, we are happy to assist you with arranging a rental car or private transfer. Should you require any additional services, such as a private chef, in-villa massage, babysitting, children’s equipment or excursions, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the available options.
For stays of 7 to 9 nights, you can also add a towel package to your booking at an additional cost of €35 for the villa and €20 per mini-villa.

Yes. By completing the booking, the reservation becomes legally binding and definitive. The booking constitutes a binding payment obligation, and you are therefore required to comply with the applicable payment terms and conditions.

A 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking. The remaining 70% of the total rental amount must be received by us no later than 30 days prior to your arrival. If your arrival date falls within 30 days of the booking date, the full amount (100%) is payable immediately upon booking.
Please note that we are unable to provide access to the accommodation until the full rental amount and security deposit have been received.
The security deposit for Villa CuraLuna is €400, while the security deposit for Villa CuraNova and Villa CuraSol is €200.
In the event of damage to the rental property, excessive disturbance or nuisance, or excessive Aqualectra consumption, any associated costs may be deducted from the security deposit. Should the costs exceed the amount of the security deposit, the outstanding balance will be charged to the guest.
In all cases, you will receive a detailed statement outlining any deductions and the corresponding calculations. The security deposit will be refunded as soon as reasonably possible and, in any event, no later than 14 days after departure.
Certainly. Subject to availability, you may also rent all three rental properties simultaneously. By opening an internal connecting door, the three units can be interconnected within the outside walls of the property.
Yes. A 7% OB tax is payable on the rental amount. This is a local tax, similar to a tourist tax, which we collect on your behalf and remit to the Curaçao Tax Authorities.
Additional charges also apply for the final cleaning and, where applicable or mandatory (for stays of 9 nights or more), the interim cleaning.

House rules
During the day, you may receive a limited number of visitors during your stay. However, visitors are not permitted to stay overnight without prior approval.
Please note that if you are staying in one of the mini-villas, any visitors must not cause inconvenience or disturbance to other guests.
No. Parties (or loud music) are not permitted at our rental properties.
Out of respect for other residents and guests in the surrounding area, we kindly ask that quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
Between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, playing music is permitted, provided that consideration is always shown for other guests and neighbours.
No. Professional photography or filming is not permitted at our rental properties without our prior written permission.
Pets are not permitted at our rental properties. An exception may be made for registered assistance dogs, subject to prior approval.
Children are very welcome at our rental properties.*
For our youngest guests, a travel cot is available, or we can arrange for a separate single bed to be added. We also have a selection of games available in the property for your use. Alternatively, you can arrange to rent additional children’s equipment through Mini Nomads.
In addition to the travel cot, a high chair is also available. If you require babysitting services, we would be happy to recommend a trusted babysitter.
*Parents remain solely responsible for the safety and well-being of their children at all times. When staying in one of our mini-villas, children are not permitted to walk around outside the rental property without clothing.
Smoking and vaping are permitted outdoors only. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the designated ashtrays provided.
Should anything unexpectedly become damaged or stop working, please report it to Wendy and her team immediately. If significant damage has occurred, the associated costs may be deducted from the security deposit.
In the event of an emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Our rental properties are located approximately 20 km by road from Hato International Airport.
To be precise, it is 400 metres. On our Instagram pages, you can find a nice reel showing you exactly how close it is.
Van den Tweel supermarket, also known as the Albert Heijn of Curaçao, is located just 100 metres’ walk from our rental properties. This is ideal for picking up fresh breakfast items or grabbing a few essentials.
Huisartsenpraktijk Sorsaka (https://praktijksorsaka.com/) is the nearest GP practice. Located at Caracasbaaiweg 274, it is approximately a 7-minute drive from our rental properties and offers ample parking directly in front of the practice. We recommend making an appointment in advance. As a tourist, you can also make use of their convenient WhatsApp service.
Botika Sorsaka is located at Caracasbaaiweg 274A, approximately a 7-minute drive from our rental properties. The pharmacy provides over-the-counter medication and medical supplies, including mosquito repellent, plasters, sunscreen and other essentials. Prescription medication is also available if you have a prescription or referral from the adjacent GP practice.
Het Washok, located at Caracasbaaiweg 240, is the nearest laundromat. You can have your laundry washed, dried and folded here. Please note that all laundry is washed at a single temperature, so we recommend taking extra care with delicate items.
Just a 100-metre walk from our rental properties, literally around the corner, you will find the nearest gym. During your stay on the island, you can purchase a special “tourist membership” for the duration of your visit.
Vanddis, located at Caracasbaaiweg 268D, is the nearest petrol station. Before refuelling, you are required to pay for your fuel at the counter. A member of staff will often assist you with refuelling, and it is customary to offer a small tip for this service.
Tip: For safety reasons, we recommend refuelling during daylight hours whenever possible, while it is still light outside.
Guests staying at Villa CuraLuna can park their car behind the gated entrance of the property. Guests staying at Villa CuraNova and Villa CuraSol can park their car on the street directly in front of the entrance to the mini-villas.
The rental properties are located on a quiet residential street, which is regularly patrolled by Jan Thiel Security.
The outdoor area of Villa CuraLuna features a wooden terrace with several seating areas, a covered terrace, palm trees, shrubs and, of course, a beautiful private swimming pool.

There is no direct sea view. The sea is approximately 200 metres away if you could draw a straight line. It’s 400 meters on foot from our rental properties.

Yes, there is a high chair available suitable for children up to and including 2 years of age.
We provide Walra hammam towels in all our rental properties. These can be used by the pool and may also be taken to the beach. The advantage of these towels is that they are lightweight, take up very little space and dry quickly. If you prefer a traditional beach towel, we recommend bringing your own or purchasing one locally.
Er zijn campingbedjes voorzien voor de allerkleinste gasten (tot en met 2 á 3 jaar, afhankelijk van grootte en gewicht). Our pool technician cleans and maintains the swimming pools every Tuesday and Friday. You do not need to be present, as he has access to the poolarea’s.
If you are present during the maintenance, we kindly ask that you allow him the necessary space to carry out his work efficiently and thoroughly. For example, please ensure that no personal belongings or other items are left in or around the pool.
Should any leaves fall into the pool between maintenance visits, a pool skimmer is provided at the rental property for your convenience.
Yes, all three of our rental properties are equipped with new safes where you can securely store small valuables.
Our swimming pools are not heated. However, heating is generally not necessary due to Curaçao’s tropical climate. Temperatures remain pleasant throughout the year, and the island enjoys sunshine most of the year.
At present, there is unfortunately no washing machine available at the rental property. However, Het Washok laundromat is located a short drive from the property and offers convenient laundry services.
Villa CuraLuna and Villa CuraSol are equipped with a dishwasher.
Villa CuraLuna is equipped with an American-style refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. Villa CuraNova and Villa CuraSol each have a tall fridge-freezer combination.
In addition, we provide a Polarbox cooler for your use during your stay.
All three rental properties are equipped with a Nespresso capsule coffee machine. A selection of coffee capsules will be ready for you upon arrival.
Certainly. All three of our rental properties are equipped with induction hobs, allowing you to prepare your own meals. Pots, pans and kitchen utensils are provided for your convenience.
Villa CuraLuna is equipped with a Weber gas BBQ for your use. The mini-villas are each equipped with a Weber Smokey Joe BBQ.
Yes, all three rental properties are equipped with high-speed internet for your convenience. You will receive the Wi-Fi login details upon check-in.
Upon check-in, bed linen, bath towels and kitchen towels are provided, as well as hammam towels for use at the beach. We also provide a stylish cooler for your convenience. To ensure a comfortable start to your stay, we provide the first coffee capsules, hand soap, dishwashing liquid or dishwasher tablets, and toilet paper upon arrival.
Wendy and her team are here locally to make sure you and your travel party feel comfortable and well looked after throughout your stay. Shortly before your arrival, Wendy will contact you via WhatsApp to introduce herself and coordinate your check-in with you.

Yes. Jan Thiel Security regularly patrols the neighbourhood. In addition, the property is equipped with an alarm system and security camera.
We strongly recommend renting a car during your stay, as this gives you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. Walking, cycling and using public transportation are not common ways of getting around the island.
If you are interested in renting a car, we would be happy to assist you by recommending a reliable car rental company.
Our rental properties are all single-level and spacious. However, the gravel surfaces, wooden terraces and thresholds at the entrance doors may present some additional challenges for guests with reduced mobility.
An interim cleaning is generally scheduled halfway through your stay, unless you are staying for an extended period.
Examples:
- 10 nights – interim cleaning on day 5
- 14 nights – interim cleaning on day 7
- 21 nights – interim cleaning on days 7 and 14
